L-Theanine is an analog of glutamine and one of the components of green tea. L-Theanine binds to AMPA, Kainate, NMDA, and group I mGlu receptors. Modulates the activity of several antitumor drugs. Reportedly stimulates self-renewal of human embryonic stem cells.
